Refuge

I really love working in theatre.

Over the years i’ve been fortunate enough to be asked to compose and perform music and soundscapes in some great plays by some of Ireland’s best writers. This spring I head over to Germany to work with the Stadt Theatre of Mainz and Fishamble Theatre’s co-production of Deirdre Kinahan’s play ‘ Refuge’. The play zips between the early eighteenth century and the present day, as we follow the plight of of the Palatine’s in the past and a young Afghan man in the present. I’ve researched and written the music ( bit more to do yet) and hope to put it all to effect with shows in Germany in the Summer and then onwards to the Dublin Theatre festival in the Autumn.
